    Description

Up for sale Vintage Cold War/Soviet Era 50-60's Czech (Czechoslovakia) Crank Field Phone with a Bakelite Case Model TP 25.
Phone comes with original shoulder strap (looks unused, couple marks on metal) , patch cord with two male jack/connectors (5.7 mm diameter, looks unused too) and crank lever (in holder in lower left corner of lid).
The Czechoslovakian field telephone TP 25 is an improved design inspired by the German FF33. It is also made of Bakelite (case and body) and a keep it simple design for LB only use and it is much smaller and lighter than the FF33.
Item is in good original condition.
Bakelite case and phone handle show some surface scratches from using, but I don't see any cracks or some kind of damage.
Case has metal handle on the top and metal slots for shoulder strap on the sides.
    Latch works.
No rust on metal parts, couple spots of oxidation.
Case base has a battery compartment (no battery included).
Sockets for patch cord and crank lever are covered with turnable lids (see pic. 3,6).
    Top of case
has the engraved Czech words (see pic.2), some of them are first names, some are spell out for letter (if no such name, beginning with that letter), used for the military phonetic alphabet .
On the inside of the lid is engraving
    "POZOR, NEPRITEL NASLOUCHA! "
    ,which in exactly translation
    " BEWARE,THE ENEMY IS LISTENING"
....... every signalman must obey...... good example of Cold War paranoia.)))))))
There is also engraved diagram on right side in the lid how to connect phone with wires (see pic.9,11).
    Weight 7.10 lb.
    Dimensions 10"X7"X4"
I don't have second phone to connect to for test, so I tested it in way as I can.
When I connected DC source to contacts inside battery compartment and pressed pushbutton on phone handle, phone ringed.
When I inserted crank lever and rotated it I got some voltage on phone line contacts, generator/dynamo works (see pic. 12).
I don't know how to test microphone and speaker in phone handle.
I found very interesting video on YouTube about this model of field phone, you can take a look on it, it is exactly same as I am selling,
