    Vintage CHAPIN STEPHENS #32 1/2 Boxwood & Brass Bound Folding Rule w/ Caliper Slide
    This is a vintage 12"
    CHAPIN STEPHENS CO. - PINE MEADOW, CONN. U.S.A. No. 32 1/2
    four-fold boxwood and brass bound
    Carpenters' rule
    with arch joint and sliding brass caliper.   I rate this ruler in
    GOOD CONDITION
    overall.  It has a single alignment pin in place and folds up nice and tight with a slight 1/8" gap.  It is uncleaned.  The brass caliper is a little stiff but works fine.  Most of the numbers and markings are clear and easy to read.  A nice example of a vintage Chapin Stephens caliper rule for you to add to your antique measuring tool collection!
