Having had wheel and tire problems on the first lap Vic started the second lap 18 minutes behind the leader.
He drove 7 of the 10 laps of the 72 km Circuit,
pushing his Porsche 907 to the limit and breaking the lap record several times on the way to an amazing and historic come-from-behind victory!
