    Established in 1929, modified in 1937, 1945 (communist era PRL type) and 1990 (after communist era RP type). Conferred in four grades (gold 1st class, gold 2nd class, silver, bronze) for merit for the Polish or International Red Cross in various fields: nursing, caretaking, blood donation, etc.
